Maternal-fetal physicians (also called perinatologists) work along side a woman’s obstetrician to ensure a healthy pregnancy and birth. They often see patients with healthy, routine pregnancies, but they also apply their expertise when a mother and baby need specialized monitoring and medical care. Our program is one of the few in the country that performs fetoscopic laser photocoagulation for treatment of Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome.
